Technical Diagram of the GPN Pump Group with Mixing Valve

Main dimensions of this pump group insulation: 420x260mm
The technical diagram illustrates the construction of the GPN pump group with an integrated mixing valve, designed for underfloor heating systems.
Note: The actuator shown on the left side of the diagram is an optional accessory. The option to select a group with an actuator is available above the product price.
Mixing Pump Group for Underfloor Heating – Product Advantages
Modular heating system – The Nordic Tec GPN series pump group with a mixing valve is designed for single-family and terraced houses, saving time and labor during installation. All pump groups are pre-assembled and sealed, ready for direct mounting, eliminating complex and time-consuming on-site work. The compact design saves installation space. High-quality EPP insulation reduces heat loss. Additionally, the pump group features a modern and aesthetic design while maintaining full functionality in the heating system.
Thanks to modular connection options, all system configurations can be achieved, ensuring broad applicability. The system is suitable for medium- and low-power heating installations, such as: high-temperature radiator heating, low-temperature surface heating, underfloor heating, condensation protection, and various system separations – all following advanced German system design concepts.
The system ensures even heat distribution, simple zone separation, and low-maintenance control of heating in villas, energy savings, and easy maintenance.
Core Functions of the GPN Pump Group for Underfloor Heating
When hot water enters the mixing system, the pump and valve are initially fully open. The mixing valve (ball valve) is then completely open for hot water. After some operation time, when the temperature reaches the user-set level, the mixing valve (ball valve) is adjusted manually or automatically to the desired temperature position. The pump then circulates the mixed water into the underfloor pipes, where it flows through the system.
What Is the Purpose of a Pump Group in Underfloor Heating?
The pump group for underfloor heating – in a floor heating system – is used for:
- Ensuring proper water temperature – Underfloor heating requires lower temperatures than radiators, which is why the group with a mixing valve reduces water temperature.
- Enabling water circulation – The pump in the group ensures water flow in the underfloor pipes.
- Enhancing system safety and reliability – Protects the installation from overheating and simplifies regulation.
- Simplifying installation – A compact, all-in-one solution that makes the entire underfloor heating system easier to install.
