CH Pump Station for a 180mm Pump, Without Mixing
Below are the parameters and details of the pumping group set for CH from this offer:
- With polypropylene insulation
- With a built-in check valve on the cold side (under the blue thermometer). The presence of a check valve in CH pumping groups is intended to block water backflow (preventing reverse water flow), which could negatively impact circulation pumps and could lead to underheating of the system and increased fuel consumption by the heat source
- The CH pump station has a ball valve with a butterfly handle
- With two thermometers, for flow and return in intuitively chosen colors for warm and cold medium
- With two ball valves - adjustable with handles/thermometers
- Designed for a circulation pump with dimensions of 180mm (The set does not include the pump)
- The set also includes mounting elements, such as wall expansion plugs 13.5cm long
- The set includes brass union nuts and gaskets for pump connection (2 pcs.)
Dimensions of CH Pump stations for 180mm Pumps:
- 420x 255mm
Dimensions and thread characteristics:
- inlet - 6/4" - Male Thread
- outlet- 1" - Female Thread
Non-Mixing Pump Group 180 in a Central Heating Installation
A pump group 180 for CH in a central heating installation is today essentially its key component - which by definition is meant to ensure the correct functioning of our entire heating system as a whole. The group is a set of simple hydraulic devices that allows for controlling water flow in the CH installation - which in turn ensures the optimal operation of the heating boiler (or other heat source) and relatively even heating of the entire house. The pumping group consists of circulation pumps (this product does not include one, it must be purchased separately), valves, pressure gauges, or other sub-elements enabling the regulation of water pressure and flow. Thanks to the pumping group, our central heating operates efficiently and economically.
✅ This CH pump group is a non-mixing set, i.e., instead of a 3-way valve (available in mixing pumping groups) - a simple ball valve has been used, as visible in the photographs.
What is the Purpose of the Check Valve in a Pump Station
The check valve is an essential component of today's pump stations in a C.H. installation. It is worth paying attention when purchasing to ensure it is part of the group (sometimes it is not visible to the naked eye, and cheaper solar groups may not always have it). Its task is to prevent water from flowing back into the heating device, most often the CH boiler, as this could lead to its gradual damage. The check valve will close when the water flow in the installation is interrupted - thanks to this, the water will not return to the CH boiler. This way, the entire heating installation remains fully functional, even during power supply interruptions (stops of circulation pumps). Check valves also allow for maintaining constant pressure in the installation and ensure balanced heating of the entire building. It is actually a very simple device, but it is an extremely important part of the pump station. If the CH system does not contain pump stations that would be equipped with this type of valve - it should be installed independently - because without it, our installation is not properly secured and executed.
Nordic Tec pump stations always include a check valve - we place it on the cold side near the blue "gauge".
