1" Magnetic Filter Nordic Tec for hydraulic systems
The Magnetic Filter is designed to protect hydraulic, water, heating, cooling and solar systems, as well as central heating (CH), domestic hot water (DHW) installations or similar systems. This offer applies to a device adapted for 1-inch systems.
Nordic Tec Magnetic Filters are designed to prevent the free movement and accumulation of iron oxides and particles detached from metal components as a result of steel degradation processes such as scaling and corrosion. These elements—fine iron filings and rust fragments—over time reduce the performance of hydraulic systems themselves, leading to lower efficiency, higher fuel consumption or increased energy use. At the same time, they are dangerous to many components and specific elements of heating systems, such as heat pumps, heat exchangers, circulation pumps, gas boilers and all types of modern boilers equipped with various sensors. Thanks to a powerful magnet, the Magnetic Filter separates these contaminants into a dedicated chamber, from which they can later be removed by opening the drain valve—hence the commonly used term “dirt separator”. The key component of this product is therefore the strongly magnetized insert.

1 Inch Magnetic Separator Nordic Tec – what is it used for?
The 1 inch Magnetic Filter by Nordic Tec works most effectively in capturing iron oxides and iron fragments, i.e. corrosive and sedimentary elements that form within water systems over long periods of operation. Such contaminants, often invisible to the naked eye, are harmful to hydraulic systems and most often contribute to increased failure rates of their components. Particularly exposed are plate heat exchangers, system separators, as well as hydraulic separators, other types of filters and heat pump components. Corrosion residues freely circulating in the system are also dangerous for boiler automation and all kinds of sensors—temperature, flow and pressure.
The task of the 1 inch Magnetic Filter is therefore to capture and neutralize these particles using a powerful magnet mounted in a basket made of suitably durable material. From time to time, the filter can be cleaned by opening the drain valve (using a dedicated service key) and removing the magnetic insert.
Magnetic Filter for heat pumps | Nordic Tec DN25
The Nordic Tec DN25 Magnetic Filter is often used as a Magnetic Filter for heat pumps, as heat pumps are typically sensitive devices with delicate control systems and at the same time relatively expensive units that should be properly protected. Magnetic Filters are mainly installed in older systems that are not always ideally suited for heat pump operation—yet heat pumps are often installed in such systems. In these cases, it is advisable to ensure system hygiene and install a dirt separator.
The presence of a Magnetic Filter in a system with a heat pump should also help protect or improve the efficiency of the central heating system itself, which in turn contributes to better heat pump performance. As is well known, heat pumps operate best in efficient, clean systems.
