This garage drainage system, including channels, is made of pure stainless steel and does not have a purely industrial look, so it does not detract from the appearance of its surroundings. Despite its suitability for industrial applications, the Nordic Tec slot drain kit features a highly aesthetic design, with the option to fill the cover with tiles, resin, or other floor finishes.
In fact, in many cases, it can even enhance the raw look of a garage or warehouse floor by adding a touch of visual interest.
Basement floor drainage system – What channel length can be achieved if we got a big cellar or warehouse?
Since this basement floor drainage system is primarily designed for use in garages, cellars or warehouses, it is built in a modular way. This means that although the standard kit includes 2 extension arms (stainless steel channels which you can see on the drainage photoes), each 1 meter long, the system can easily be extended with additional arms, which are available separately in our offer. In this way, even if the linear drain is to be installed in a large cellar, garage or hangar, it will perform its function – as there are essentially no limitations in terms of length, if if got a large floor.
You can connect not only additional drain arms but also multiple drainage system kits – for example, 2 or 3 sets – to create multiple drainage points located in different parts of the cellar, garage or warehouse - which are connected with steel channels. In principle, there are no restrictions, and you can design your own floor drainage system according to your needs.
It is also possible to install the extension channles on only one side of the main drain, simply capping off the other end. We would like to remind you that this garage linear drain set is complete and includes all necessary end caps and seals – no additional parts are needed.
Industrial drainage – The Core Element: The Trap
As mentioned, the Nordic Tec industrial drainage system is fully equipped, including a trap with a sediment catcher designed to retain dirt such as mud or leaves (especially useful if the drain is installed outdoors on a parking area). This ensures that debris does not enter the drainage pipe and cause blockages.
The central square section of the industrial drainage system features a removable cover that can be filled with tiles or resin, or simply left as-is – with a clean stainless steel surface exposed.
Warehouse drainage - Cleaning
The cover – also known as the grate of the warehouse drainage – is very easy to remove and requires virtually no tools. Once the drainage cover is lifted, accumulated waste and debris can be quickly cleared out, restoring full water drainage functionality. Cleaning the trap of this type of drain is very fast and usually takes no more than 2–3 minutes.
It’s worth mentioning that the solution adopted by Nordic Tec is designed to prevent any odors from escaping the drainage pipe, and to avoid backflow – particularly important when the drain is installed indoors, such as in a garage, warehouse or a workplace.
Carpark drain – The Extension channels are an essential parts too
As previously mentioned, the basic set includes two stainless steel channels-arms - along with all necessary seals and fittings for connecting or capping the ends, if no extension is planned. This makes the length of the carpark drain virtually unlimited, and the system is often used even in large hangars, garages or warehouses.
