The Ba-60-90 heat exchanger has a very large surface area of 5.4 m², making it one of the largest exchangers in the Nordic Tec Ba-60 series. The large surface area of the plates and the relatively large connections make this exchanger particularly suitable for managing large heating systems and large-scale heating equipment. It is often used for connecting monoblock heat pumps. In a glycol-water system, the Ba-60-90 heat exchanger can handle monoblock heat pumps with a power range between 18 and 38 kW, while in a water-water system (for separating split heat pump circuits), it can support units up to 45 kW.Main Applications of the Ba-60-90 PHE

Heat Exchanger for Large 40 kW Monoblock Heat Pumps
The Nordic Tec Ba-60-90 heat exchanger is particularly suitable for use with large monoblock heat pumps, thanks to its large heat transfer surface and sizable connections, which allow for relatively high flow rates with minimal pressure drops. The selection of the heat exchanger for each heat pump depends mainly on the flow temperature of the specific system. Larger models are chosen for low-temperature systems, such as underfloor heating with temperatures of 30-35°C, while smaller heat exchangers are selected for systems with temperatures around 50°C.
Operation of the Ba-60-90 Heat Exchanger with Glycol-Based Monoblock Heat Pumps
- In the case of a monoblock heat pump using glycol (30%) in a low-temperature system (30-35°C), the Ba-60-90 heat exchanger can handle units with a capacity of up to 18-20 kW.
- In a high-temperature system (around 50°C) with the same pump, this heat exchanger can support units with a capacity of up to 36 kW and, in some cases, up to 40 kW
The selection of a heat exchanger for large monoblock heat pumps should, however, consider all aspects of the specific system and be made on an individual basis.
