The 7/8" to 1/2" SAE nipple is compatible with Nordic Tec Ba-68-F refrigerant heat exchangers, which have a 7/8" pipe outlet on the freon side designed for soldering the fitting. It is also possible to solder this nipple into classic liquid-to-liquid heat exchangers with a 1" BSP thread, such as the Ba-32, Ba-16 series etc.
