Every heat exchanger producer recommend mounting ball valves before and after the heat exchanger in order to get the opporunity of mounting the PHE out of the heating system - without draining the water. As it's recommended to clean heat exchangers from time to time - it's worth to take adventage of this recommendation.
The temperature control valve resolves this problem - and additionally gives us the opportunity of measuring the temperature on the IN connection and OUT connection. This gives us the idea of the heat exchanger efficiency in a given heating system - and let us see all the possible problems quicker.
