Set of shut-off valves 5/4" from Nordic Tec
We have included 1 1/4" shut-off ball valves in our offer mainly as a complement to plate heat exchangers with a 5/4" thread. Therefore, we primarily sell them as shut-off valves for plate heat exchangers - but of course, they are a universal product and can be used wherever a shut-off valve in DN32 size is required.
The set includes 2 pieces of butterfly valves in intuitively chosen colors, traditionally red and blue.
The valve set is universal, meaning there are no obstacles to using it in any location in heating installations, domestic hot water systems, or refrigeration installations. It will prove useful in any situation where there might arise a need to shut off part of the system. It can serve as a safety valve in case of boiler damage or any other hydraulic equipment failure.
Example application of a 1 1/4" ball valve - plate heat exchangers
1 1/4" ball valves are recommended for installation before plate heat exchangers - if they are compatible with a given PHE in terms of thread size, of course. The valve serves as a safeguard in case of a malfunction - or in case servicing of the heat exchanger is needed - which sooner or later will occur (we mean standard servicing activities such as cleaning the exchanger, etc.).
In the event of a problem with our heat exchanger, the ball valve allows it to be shut off - from the heating system without draining the water from the system - saving costs and time. The device can then be easily cleaned with a descaler or tested for sealing.
Please note that the butterfly valve offered by us has a 1 1/4" thread size - making it dedicated to heat exchangers of the same size.
